Coastal style is stunning indoors—but I think it really shines outside. Crisp blues, soft whites, and natural textures feel effortless in the fresh air. Whether you’re drawn to classic coastal charm or love a more modern, laid-back vibe, this look is incredibly versatile.
To help you bring that breezy feel outdoors, I’ve curated five coastal outdoor dining ideas to inspire your backyard setup. From Nantucket-inspired neutrals to boho beachy layers, there’s something here for every seaside style.
1. Nantucket Coastal Outdoor Dining
Nothing is as coastal as a classic Nantucket-inspired outdoor dining furniture and decor. This beautiful solid wood outdoor table comes with a removable lazy Susan, perfect for serving summertime dinners. It comfortably fits 6 chairs. Blue and white bistro chairs add a quintessential coastal look to your table. Pair your table and chairs with a classic solid navy outdoor rug.

2. Farmhouse Coastal Outdoor Dining
Farmhouse coastal style embraces the light and airy vibes of a classic coastal look while also incorporating a cozy, comfy, and welcoming feel. If I had to describe my style, I definitely lean Farmhouse Coastal. Comfort and function are the two biggest considerations I have when decorating!
This farmhouse coastal curation features a two-tone table with light wood legs and a durable concrete tabletop. The beautiful table can fit up to 4 chairs. It’s paired with these adorable wicker armchairs with neutral cushions. Go for a classic striped rug to complete this look. I have this exact run on my patio, and it’s beautiful and super easy to clean!

3. Coastal Grandma Outdoor Dining
I must have been late to the party because I had never heard of coastal grandma style until very recently. From home decor to fashion, coastal grandma is becoming super popular. This style leans more traditional coastal with nostalgic touches.
For this curation, I chose a rustic gray solid wood dining table. It comes with a hole in the center for an optional umbrella. This table is almost identical to my outdoor dining table (am I secretly coastal grandma and didn’t know it?!).
These white resin chairs with X-back add the perfect traditional coastal aesthetic. Finish off the look with a bluish gray and white geometric outdoor rug.

4. Modern Coastal Outdoor Dining
Modern coastal style features the blues and natural materials you love mixed with a sleek design. For this look, I chose a 60″ solid mango table handcrafted by artisans. It fits up to 6 people and has a pre-cut hole for an optional patio umbrella. This table is pricey, so I also provided a more affordable option!
These navy chairs come in a set of 4 and feature a cool contemporary design. They’re also made of water-resistant polypropylene. Choose a modern outdoor rug like this indigo blue abstract print option.

5. Boho Coastal Dining
Boho coastal style is all about mixing cool blues, woven materials, geometric prints, and a modern edge. For this curation, I chose an acacia wood expandable table with modern tapered legs. It fits up to 6 people.
The ultra-boho chairs feature wicker seats with white cushions, a woven curved back, and black metal legs. Pair your table and chairs with a quintessential boho southwestern geometric rug in a mix of blue shades.

Coastal style can elevate your outdoor space no matter what direction you decide to take it! I hope these coastal dining ideas gave you some good inspiration for your patio design. Happy decorating!
